Creation of Benjamin Bat

I’ve been an avid reader since early elementary school, (a long time ago already!) and have hopefully passed the joys of reading on to my three year old son. I try to juggle work life and home life as best as possible, and truly treasure tucking my son in and reading him bedtime stories every night.

One night, after finishing reading two books, he said, “Read me a bat story please”. I realized, with shock cause I truly love bats, that I didn’t have one. Luckily however, I have always had an adventurous imagination, and I created a story on the spot. Every night this became a tradition. Two bedtime stories followed by a Benjamin Bat story. As the stories and adventures grew and grew, my son asked, “Why isn’t this a book? I want to see Benjamin Bat”.

Thus began my adventures in self-publishing the Benjamin Bat series. I have many people to be thankful to. But especially my fabulous illustrator, Ros Webb, who brought my words to life, with her beautiful watercolor illustrations.

The first book of the series can already be found on Amazon and Kindle.
